Video/Telephone Consults Available! Due to the recommendations from British Columbias Public Health Authority, we are taking measures to do our part to help minimize in office visits to all health professionals during the COVID-19 Pandemic. For anyone with a concern or question about their vision or their eyes we are providing video/telephone consults with one of our optometrists. This will help determine if an urgent ocular assessment is necessary, or if it can be safely ...postponed due to the risk of COVID-19. Our office will continue to be open limited hours for pick-up of products and ask you to kindly follow staff instructions to ensure proper physical distancing. Please check in advance to confirm hours as they are subject to change. Phone and email messages will be monitored Monday to Friday. Email will also be monitored over the weekend. Email: [email protected] or call 250 352 5152. Also, we are waiving shipping fees for direct to home contact lens orders during the COVID-19 Pandemic closure. We will continue to monitor recommendations by public health officials on a day to day basis and change this policy as deemed prudent. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time.
COVID-19: Suspension of Routine Eye Exams Effective March 18th 2020 After much discussion and thought, we are temporarily closing the office for routine eye care in order to do our part to limit the spread of the pandemic and to protect our staff and our patients, many of whom are elderly and/or have other health issues. We strongly believe in the value of routine eye health exams, but with the current global situation and recommendations from public health officials to limit... non-essential contact, we request that you delay your routine appointment. We will be contacting patients that are currently booked over the next days to reschedule. We will continue to see patients for urgent concerns/needs as long as they or their family members are not experiencing cold or flu symptoms nor have returned from travelling in the past 14 days. If you have a concern requiring an urgent appointment, such as a significant change to your vision or concern with your eyes health, we ask that you call the office first instead of presenting in person. We will continue to monitor recommendations by public health officials on a day to day basis and change this policy as deemed prudent.
