What will your wreath look like? This year the leadership at FBC Nelson is encouraging everyone to create an advent wreath at home. Covid has presented us an opportunity to lean into our spiritual practices at home; be mindful as you light the candles each week to see how the Spirit is at work in you. See you Sunday for Advent week 2 in our Zoom service!

Prepare the elements! This week we won't be having our drop-in communion at the church but we will be hosting it at our Zoom service. Please be ready with your bread and wine/juice at home so we can partake in this sacrament together.

This Advent season we are joining together with other CBWC churches to explore Disruptive Hope. May we be a people marked by hope this Advent season! See you on Zoom!

We are all at home a little more than usual this year - praying that the peace that surpasses all understanding is falling on your home! Hello church, Sara here! I just wanted to let you know that I was in a cycling accident on Thursday. Unfortunately, as I was riding my bike home on Thursday, an SUV backed out of it's stall into me and knocked me down. I am so grateful that I have no broken bones and that I'm here, alive, to serve God and delight in my family! However, I did take quite a huge slam to the head and body. So for the next few weeks I will be working but not preaching. Many pastors in the CBWC hav...e so graciously offered to send sermons to me to post. You are a wise and mature congregation, and you deserve sermons created with a whole brain, not a boggled brain :) Thank you for your grace, prayers, and care for my family. See you soon, Pastor Sara
