Data is now coming out from Ottawa public health. The doubling time (the amount of time it takes for the number of cases of coronavirus to double) is currently ...at 4days. This is exactly the road most other countries have been down. The statistics gurus have been working hard at number crunching, and have determined that if we continue the way we are, we will continue to double cases every 3-4 days. Our hospitals cannot hold up under this pressure. However, if we up our game and if 50% of the population properly use physical distancing, this doubling time goes down to 12 days. but get this... if 70% of people do their civic duty and stay the hell home... the doubling time goes to 103 days. Now THIS is something our hospitals/ICU can deal with, no big deal. Seriously, if you want life to get back to normal, make it very abnormal right now. Stay home. Only go out for essentials, and when you do have to go out, perform hand hygiene, maintain 2m distance from anyone around you, etc etc. You've all heard it a million times. Now do it.
