Con el objetivo de fortalecer los vínculos iniciados entre profesores y referentes de la gestión en el deporte, Netball Argentina concretó un encuentro junto a Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Venezuela, Ecuador y Perú, para avanzar en el ámbito de la formalización institucional y de la capacitación en formación de profesores y coaches, conformando de esta manera una Red de interacción deportiva como primer paso de desarrollo en Sudamérica. Netball crece. Netball Argentina organized a South American Netball Meeting of Representatives and coaches from Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru to strenghten the bonds already started and provide them with an institutional and coaching guidance. A big congratulations to all the U16, U18 athletes from Alberta and BC. A couple weeks back BC Netball hosted the 2019 Western Championships. All the teams worked hard that weekend and the results are in! In a best of three match series, BC U16s came back with a reverse sweep, winning the games 2-1 and winning gold against the defending Alberta U16 team. Alberta U18s fought and successfully clean swept their series against the defending BC U18s winning gold.

In netball news around the world: At the Netball Europe Championship, England U21 won the tournament overcoming other U21 teams from Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Fast5 All-Stars event was completely sold out in the Copper Box Arena in London as crowds enjoyed top Superleague teams battle it out on a 5-a-side version of netball. Some of the world's most exciting shooters, such as the likes of Jhaniele Fowler and Jo Harten joined in the fun. ... NetFest gets underway in Australia on the Sunshine Coast with activities such as Fast5 tournaments as well as classic netball tournaments and the ability to relax with their teammates and enjoy the beach. In South Africa, South African Proteas captain, Bongi Msomi has been using her profile to raise awareness to gender-based violence. Bongi Msomi has been shortlisted for Sports Personality of the Year in her home state, KwaZulu-Natal and using the platform to speak out against the important issue.
