Any time funding is announced for broadband internet services it’s good news, according to the executive director of Blue Sky Net. Susan Church of North Bay-b...ased Blue Sky Net, whose aim is to facilitate broadband access to unserved and underserved areas, said the $1.75 billion announced Monday by the federal government, in an effort to connect 98 per cent of Canadians across the country to high-speed internet by 2026, combined with almost $1 billion announced by the province last week, is certainly a positive reading for the region. https://www.nugget.ca//feds-province-commit-to-improved-hi

We are very excited to unveil our plans for our fibre project in East Ferris! East Ferris is where NETSPECTRUM first put our roots down when we started providing rural internet in 2006. From our first tower, to our first large scale fibre build. <3 Residents in the build area will see our NETSPECTRUM/Spectrum Group team out doing brushing, building poles and digging trenches for our new fibre system over the next couple of years to complete this project. No need to get on a waiting list or pre-order - we'll be sure everyone is aware when this service is available to their home! We appreciate the ongoing support from our customers and we look forward to continuing our strong relationship with the residents and businesses in East Ferris. #Progress #RuralInternet #ShopLocal #InternetForTheNorth

NETSPECTRUM, along with our parent company Spectrum Telecom Group are proud to be sponsoring the Moose FM community Kindness Cruiser in North Bay. Typically in the summer, the Moose FM has their summer Fun Runner and they cover local community events, but with everything going on with COVID-19, they have decided upon the Kindness Cruiser this year to spread cheer and kindness in and around North Bay. We thought this was such a great idea and we are so happy to be a part of it. On Monday the cruiser was at The Beer Store on Main St promoting the empties drive for the Food bank, and today was the cruisers official launch - kicked off with a $5,000 donation from North Bay Toyota to the Nipissing Hospice! What a great start to the summer of kindness and cruisin! <3
