RemBRAINdt is an art-generating BCI program that utilizes our new 16-channel OpenBCI. In just a few summer months we remotely developed RemBRAINdt which became a finalist in the Russia-hosted Neurotechcup 2020 and was awarded a People’s Choice Award! RemBRAINdt has also been accepted as a challenge in the Neuro Nexus 2020 competition. Over the course of this competition, a team of local innovators will advance this project to a marketable solution for generation of visual art... in private and public events through a SaaS model. Our project team for the NeuroTechX Open Competition 2021 has hit the ground running! Our focus for this project will be on memory and learning. We are designing an EEG-based language learning platform that will take advantage of established research on the subsequent memory effect (SME) while also leveraging deep learning to accurately assess the likelihood of retaining information in the future. This will provide quicker and more efficient studying by targeting weak areas ...and avoiding redundant review of strong areas. For now we are focusing on English speakers learning Mandarin, but this framework has broad applicability for other languages as well as for learning/studying in general. Imagine studying for an exam and being told exactly what you need to go over!
