Pretty much everything else in your body regenerates constantly, but the brain is different. . You only get one shot with your brain. . When it's too far gone there is nothing you can do about it.... . They can transplant your kidneys, your heart, your lungs, but not your brain. . So it is essential that you do what you can to improve your brain health. . This means a different thing for different people. . For some people it means getting more exercise, to improve blood flow to the brain (Because brain cells need oxygen!) . For others it might mean targeted training exercises to activate and improve the health of specific area. . Or it might be about removing inflammatory foods, to reduce inflammation in the brain. . It could even be working on mindset, to program the brain for happiness and success, instead of negative self destruction. . Keeping your brain healthy is the most important thing you can do for your health. . And it's they key to getting more out of your life.. . Isn’t it time you started working training it? See more

I’ve taught over 200 hundred people how to get out of pain and stay out of pain. . Sometimes you have to dig very deep to find ways to help people. . But 60-70% of the time, teaching people how to properly mobilize all the joints in their body is all it takes.... . And when I say this, please bear in mind that most of the people who come to see me have already seen multiple different therapists without success. . The reason it’s so effective is because the brain creates pain based on perceived danger. . When joints move, they send information back to the brain. If joints don’t move properly, they don’t send information back to the brain. . This might not sound like a big deal, but its scary for your brain. . If your brain hasn’t heard from the joints in your feet for 20 years, it's a really big reason to create foot or knee or hip or back pain, top stop you moving around as much. . That is why I consider joint mobility to be a prerequisite for enjoying your life without pain. . The key is to make sure you’ve mobilized every joint, because some of them are a little tricky. When your brain becomes inflamed, the inflammation slows down nerve conductivity speed. . This means that your brain cells literally communicate more slowly. Which is why it feels like you can’t think properly and your memory becomes hazy. . If you get regular brain fog, especially if it impacts your life, you need to look for things that are causing neuroinflammation.... . The exact trigger can be different from person to person. Some of them are much more simple to control. Some of them can be more challenging / require you to dig deeper. . Triggers that are more easily controlled are: - Lack of sleep - Smoking - Alcohol - Inflammatory foods - Overtraining If brain fog is affecting you, start by addressing these triggers. . Make sure you allow enough time to sleep. Obviously if you have problems sleeping, that requires digging deeper. But if you are like a lot of people and you just don’t allow enough time to sleep, then you need to change it. . If you smoke. Stop! It’s that simple. If you continue to smoke, your brain won’t functionally optimally. . Reduce or potentially eliminate alcohol. This is one of those things that most people don’t want to hear. But, alcohol creates inflammation in the brain. That’s why you feel hungover! If you want to reduce brain fog, you need to reduce alcohol intake. . Avoid foods that create an inflammatory response. This can vary from person to person, but the 2 most common offenders are gluten and dairy, so if you have severe brain fog, they are the first 2 foods (food groups) to avoid. . Exercise is really important for reducing brain fog, but too much training can actually trigger it. So if you notice your brain fog is worse the day after you train, you should reduce the intensity or the amount of training. . For most people addressing these triggers, solves the problem. But for others you might need to dig deeper. . If your brain fog started with some type of head trauma or after a concussion, then things can get a lot more challenging because head trauma can change the way the brain’s immune cells function. But I’ll talk more about this in another post.
