The bars in this graph show the Words Correct per Minute for one of my clients at #Neuroplan. The line shows his quiz score, which is a measure of his comprehension. He is a teenager who struggles with language processing. He has been placed in a bases class at high school because the regular stream has not been successful for him. The assumption is that he has low comprehension and low thinking skills. Look at the dramatic improvements he is making in comprehension with #ReadingAssistant. At first, he followed his usual pattern of decoding without processing the meaning. His quiz scores were at 50%. He couldn't remember what he had read and he was doing a lot of guessing. I showed him some strategies. His mom made him use the strategies! A month later he demonstrated comprehension at 80%. That's an A!
This is a reading level trend graph of ZR's results after 4 months of using #ReadingAssistant with Neuroplan. He is in grade 7, but he has language processing difficulties. His spoken output has some stuttering on sounds and lots of revisions. This online software records him while he is reading and it provides feedback on his decoding, fluency and comprehension. You can see that when he started, reading selections below grade 2 were inaccurate and dysfluent. The orange colour means that the microphone picked up lots of struggle. Four months later he was reading at the grade 3.2 level with fluency. The green colour is for proficient reading.

Congratulations to AH! Never give up on your special needs child. She is 13 now and just completed a grade 1 curriculum with high marks. Her literacy skills will help her read medication labels and comprehend navigational and safety signs. In addition, she has been using #Gemiini Video Modelling for the past 19 months. Her vocabulary improved by a whopping three grade levels, up to the grade 5.5. level.
Congratulations to LW, a student with autism. Using #fastforword, her comprehension went up by 2.5 grade levels in one year!

I have daughter who is an accountant at #Deximal, so I read this tax advice with interest. It was written by By Mike Campagne, President DTS Disability Tax Services Ltd. He provides tips for parents of children with brain-based learning difficulties. Eaton Arrowsmith School follows the Arrowsmith Program, created by Barbara Arrowsmith Young. The cognitive remediation program allows students to increase their capacity for learning, and to transfer back to typical school settings with reduced educational support. http://www.eatonarrowsmith.com/tax-time-advice/
Congratulations to LR! He is currently in grade 9. He was using Reading Assistant online intervention from #neuroplan. In just 10 months, his reading level improved from the grade 5 level to the grade 7.7 level.
