The letter of the week was X! This week the children have been focusing on numbers and counting with Teacher Catherine, they used different materials such as play dough and crafts to make learning fun! The children have also been mixing different colours to see what colour it makes using shaving cream and paint
The letter of the week was W! Today was PJ day With Teacher Catherine the children have have been focusing on math, on the whiteboard she wrote: In math we have finished looking at shapes and are now on to numbers 1-10 We are now starting a celebration board where we will celebrate learning! Watch for it to change every Thursday. A new child will be celebrated each week.

Hooray for Friday! The letter of the week was V! The children made vines using string and volcanoes with the letter v coming out with Teacher Catherine, they are also focusing on patterns and shapes! The children also created their own family trees using different items and used their imagination to make anything they wanted using different shapes and colours
Happy Friday! The letter of the week was U! The children made lots of different Valentines crafts using different supplies! This week with Teacher Catherine the children are examine different shapes. They have been looking for circles, triangles, squares, rectangles, rhombus and parallelograms! Reminder we are closed Monday, February 17!
Happy Valentines Day from Neverland! The children had lots of fun making valentines crafts, playing games, handing out their valentines and enjoying the yummy snacks!
The letter of the week was T! The children have been having so much fun dancing and learning music with Teacher Kiana! Teacher Catherine is still focusing on patterns with the children, they are using different colours and shapes to create patterns! The children made their own groundhogs and talked about if the groundhog will see his shadow or not!
Happy Friday! The letter of the week was S! Teacher Catherine wrote what the children are learning and exploring on the white board outside the classroom! She wrote This week in math we are beginning to create patterns! When a child is working with patterns they are thinking logically, predicting, using reasoning skills, critically thinking about a situation, practicing fine motor skills, and having fun!
Happy Friday! The letter of the week was R! The children have been having so much learning music with Teacher Kiana! Music inspires childrens creativity/imagination, music allows children to express themselves! Music also fosters, physical, social and cognitive development.The children have been practicing their letter recognition, reading and tracing out numbers with Teacher Catherine!
The letter of the week was Q! We have been really taking advantage of the snow and spending lots of time playing outside! The children love the snow and using the snow to bring their imagination to life
Happy New Year! The letter of the week was P The children have been having so much fun playing and learning through different activities! As posted on the white board outside our classroom this is what Teacher Catherine wrote and has planned for the children! While there is a lot of learning coming up the main focus is having fun encouraging a love for learning! Tuesdays: We will continue learning and practising the letter of the week Wednesdays: These will be our math days! Numbers, simple addition, patterns, shapes and graphs will be explored! The letter of the week was O The children have been working super hard on their Christmas crafts! They also received a freezing cold package from the North Pole! Santa Claus wrote the children back and even sent goodies We hope you all enjoyed our Christmas concert!

The letter of the week was N! The children have been identifying different things that start with the letter N! The children wrote letters to Santa and mailed them to the North Pole and decorated their own Christmas trees
Happy Friday! Today the children wore comfy cozy Christmas Pjs and decorated their own gingerbread cookie and a gingerbread house!
Today the daycare children went to the library for a Christmas story time! A special guest arrived at the end...it was Santa!
The letter of the week was M! The children have been very busy this week, we put up our class Christmas tree, decorative stockings, and made Christmas play doh! Using the childrens fingerprints Teacher Catherine made little monkeys! The children also went on a letter scavenger hunt around the class to found the little letters and match them to the bigger letters! The children have really enjoyed using the wagon outside and pretending to be reindeers pushing Santas sleigh!
Happy Friday! Our letter of the week was L! The children turned the letter L into a lion using construction paper and drew their own leaf collection with Teacher Catherine! Our special helpers brought in Lex Luthor, lady bugs, lego and lollipops for show and tell!
The letter of the week was K! Our special helpers brought in a kitten, kitchen, King Kong, kiwi and a kite! The children have been practicing spelling their names by creating their own name rocket ships! We have really been enjoying this sunny weather and playing outside
Today the daycare children went to the bird sanctuary! We had so much fun walking through the trials and hand feeding the ducks, sparrows and chickadees! On our walk we also saw bald eagles, sandhill cranes and Canadian geese! Our goal is too foster a love for nature and animals
The letter of the week was J! Look out for jellyfish, Teacher Catherine has been talking with the children about before and after concepts and continuing their bird unit. The children can already identify 8 different bird calls! We hope to foster a love for nature and animals while sharpening our listening skills. We are also practicing close observation skills by carefully examining the details of birds and painting them with natural colours!
The letter of the week was I Teacher Catherine has been working with the children to sound out different letters and categorize different objects to their matching letter! We have also been talking about the importance of Remembrance Day, the children made their very own poppys in Flanders Field. We are closed on Monday, Nov. 11 and we look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday
The letter of the week was H! The children have been having so much fun playing in the leaves outside. This week we craved a pumpkin and created spooky monsters
Happy Halloween from Neverland! The children came dressed up in their awesome costumes and shared lots of yummy snacks! We hope everyone has a safe and great time trick or treating tonight
Our letter of the week was G! The children made snow geese and owls with Teacher Catherine! The children really enjoy playing cat and mouse with the parachute on these rainy days. We read the book the Spooky Box and the children created their very own spooky box using their imagination of what they think could be inside! And they wore their pjs on Friday
Today the daycare children went to the Richmond Country Farms Pumpkin Patch! The children played in the hay, went on a hay ride, picked a pumpkin and enjoyed a yummy apple while they listened and dance to live music
The letter of the week was F! Teacher Catherine came in and made Fionas funny feathers with the children! The children coloured Fiona in and cut out feathers for her hat! The children also made their very own pumpkin patches using paint and their knuckles
The letter of the week was E! The children made different bird eggs with Teacher Catherine! We have also been talking about something we are thankful for! We wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and a great long weekend! See you on Tuesday

Happy Friday everyone! We are sad that summer has come to an end It was endless smiles over the last couple of months but I guess its time to go back to school! We will see everyone on Tuesday!
