Winnipeg Harvest is set up to help you access food in a safe way during this time. Please call them for help if you need food for you, your family or your baby. You can also reach out to us at New Hope and we can assist you in getting the help you need.
Hey young families! How are you doing during this time of staying home and self-isolating? It can be tough to be stuck inside with your kiddos. It can also be a scary time as we try to keep our families safe and healthy. The people at New Hope want to be a support to you during this time. Please message us if you need someone to talk to or need diapers, wipes, formula, or anything else. We will do our best to support you.
Even though we have suspended programming for now, and have to practise social distancing for everyone's health and safety, we still want to support you. Being a young parent is a huge calling every day, and might feel even more overwhelming right now with the need to stay home and care for your little one without outside support. Please reach out to us for conversation, for emotional support, if you are feeling anxious, or if you just need to talk to another human. We need to find ways to be community for each other, so let's be creative. Share stories of your day. Post pictures of your little one being cute or crazy. Share a laugh. Share something you are thankful for. Let's encourage and build each other up!
