Dear New Hope Family: In light of the recent rise in COVID-19 cases, the BC Government and BC Public Health have asked all faith-based communities to no longer ...gather in person at this time. Because of this, we will be temporarily suspending our in-person Sunday Services at New Hope for at least the next two weeks, and we will be moving back to solely having Church Online together. While we will surely miss gathering and worshiping with you in person, we know these measures have been put in place to keep our communities safe, and we as a church must do our part, and worship at home for the time being. During this time, we want to encourage you to stay connected in prayer and fellowship with one another through texts, emails, and phone calls. As 1 Thessalonians 5:11 tells us So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. FREE BREAD DAY! Our staff & volunteers will be here at New Hope this evening handing out free COBS Bread to those in our church and our community of North Delta, from 7:00-8:00pm! If you or your family need bread, please drop by tonight to pick some up at our bread drive-thru! (feel free to walk up as well, masks are being worn & physical distancing is being practiced). If you know someone who could use a free loaf or two please spread the word and share this post! ... HUGE thank you to COBS Bread for always giving back, and to Daniela and our awesome team of volunteers for their hard work and huge heart for our community!

Never forgotten, always remembered. Let us take a moment today to give thanks for those who sacrificed their lives for our freedoms in this country. May remembering allow us to reflect even deeper on Jesus, who paid the ultimate price for our freedom and salvation, by giving up His life for us on the cross.

We know that this year has been a challenging one for all of us. But we also know that God has used (and is using) this time to continue to bless our Church in so many ways. Because of this, we at New Hope want to be able to share God’s love with you, our church family and community, through a warm Christmas meal this season. On Saturday December 12th, we will be hosting a Drive-Thru Christmas Dinner for our church family & community of North Delta! We would love to be able to bless you with a free Christmas Dinner (with all the fixing’s, including dessert!) To reserve a meal for yourself or your family, please phone the church office at 604-596-8178 by December 1st, and let us know your name, phone number, how many meals you’ll need and your preferred pickup time. We look forward to serving you this Christmas season!

In the midst of a global pandemic, children need hope now, more than ever. We know that our world is struggling, and so along with our community work here at home, we want to help spread God’s love globally, by partnering with Operation Christmas Child and filling shoeboxes for children all over the world. If you’d like to take part with us, you can pick up a shoebox at the church on Sunday (or during the week), fill it up with items for a child, and return it by Sunday, Nov...ember 15th! We do ask that when picking up and dropping off your shoebox, that you’d please follow the public health guidelines that have been set in place (ie. sanitizing hands, wearing a mask, physical distancing etc) in order to keep everyone safe and healthy!
