Sunday Service for May 16, 2021. Music by Joyce and Flo. Message by Pastor Tim.
Just a reminder about the planned power outage tomorrow, Sunday (6am to 1pm). The Sunday sermon will be posted as usual, and can be accessed at any time, however unless you use your cellular data to access the internet, you will need to wait until the power is restored. Also consider this your reminder to have a plan for how to get your morning coffee ;)
Funeral service for Fred Sorenson Saturday May 15
Today (Friday May 14) from 1-7PM there will be a walk through viewing for Fred Sorenson at New Life Church (630 Pine St). We will be following all provincial COVID guidelines. Due to restrictions we can have a very limited number in the building at one time. Please enter through the front doors (if there are too many indoors you will have to wait outdoors). While waiting please stay distanced 2m or 6ft from all those that are not in your household. You will need to wear a m...ask indoors. There will be a guest book to sign (there will be lots of clean pens to use). Other than signing the guest book, please don't touch anything inside. When your turn comes at the front, please be mindful of time and those that may be waiting behind you. You will exit through the side office door. Do not linger in the parking lot. If you or someone in your home is feeling ill, please stay home. We will be streaming the funeral service tomorrow on the New Life Church - Ignace page starting at 11AM. Thank you for your understanding and patience during this difficult time.
If your heart is heavy today, God wants you to know that He is there for you. There is hope... there is comfort... In Jesus we can find rest and peace
How hard is it not to worry? To have peace of mind? Philippians 4:6-7 says - Do not worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. When you start to worry about something, stop. Pray. God is listening. He can bring peace into even the most difficult of circumstances.

February usually brings with it lots of hearts, and talk of love. Yet, the Bible speaks regularly about love, what it should look like for us, and it points to Jesus. He is our example in all things, but most of all in love. And it's not just for a day or season, but a lifelong pursuit of being more like Jesus, in love.
Worship Wednesday! This past Sunday I (Chelsea) was talking with our kids about worship music, and how the very best ones talk less about us, and more about God, as well as ones that come from Scripture. So for today check out "Jesus Messiah", which talks about who Jesus is, and has many portions taken from Scripture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1W6LBoBNGw
We are never done with this work... of allowing the Holy Spirit to renew our minds - our thoughts and attitudes. Like Paul says in Philippians 3:12-14 "I don't mean to say that I have already... reached perfection.... No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.... for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us."

We're happy to let you all know we are now collecting for the Food Bank and Christmas Cheer again! If you have any non perishable food donations (this year they've asked for only non perishable items), they can be dropped off at the church during business hours (8:30-4 Tuesday to Friday) or if you're already coming to the church at another time we're open. If you're unable to get donations to the church, let us know and we'll try to arrange a pick up. Once enough is collected we'll make arrangements to take the whole lot to the food bank.
Happy Friday!! What wonderful things have you seen God at work doing lately?
Proverbs is a book of the Bible with short verses filled with wisdom. One of the most repeated topics has to do with our words. Here are just a few to think over.... and while during the time of the Bible they never would have imagined how words are used now (typed on a computer or phone and able to be read around the world!!), the same principles apply whether we speak them from our mouths, or create them with technology. Take care with your words today!
Today is the last day to get your boxes in! We will be delivering them into Dryden either tomorrow or Friday. If you can't get them to the church, let us know ASAP, and we'll try to arrange a pick up at your home. If for some reason that doesn't work, or you'd rather drop off your own, the collection point for our area is Dryden Full Gospel Church which is open this week only Thurs & Friday 9-12 and Saturday 9-1. If you haven't been able to get to stores to do the shopping but would still like to participate, you can pack a box online. Check out their website - www.packabox.ca
Many years ago, I was part of a Bible Study where we were given these tracts. At the end was a cartoon picture of a train, with an engine, 1 car, and a caboose. The engine was labelled "fact", the car was labelled "faith" and the caboose was labelled "feeling". Fear has this way of sneaking into our hearts and minds and latching on, regardless of our faith or the facts. Declaring this verse (simply saying it aloud), even in the midst of being afraid, isn't ignoring the fear rather it's saying that you're not letting the fear be in charge. Let the trustworthiness of God and His Word be the lead, not our emotions

How we wait is important... God is working in our waiting... lean into God through His Word and prayer for encouragement
None of us is an island - we're here to help one another! Whether it's picking up someone's mail or groceries, or helping clean up their yard for winter, let's take care of one another. And please, don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. We all need it at some time!
It's Monday. How are you doing today?

Unfortunately we are unable to have an outdoor service tomorrow, Sunday September 20. As the weather is cooling, we're making plans to move indoors for future services. Please watch this page for details for an indoor service/gathering in the near future. Sorry for any confusion or inconvenience. As always if you have any questions or concerns please let us know. The message/service will be posted online here and on Soundcloud (audio only) tomorrow morning.
Happy Friday! Go into the weekend, knowing that God is with you wherever you are :)
We believe in prayer! Did you know we have a prayer group with the church? Every week they get an update on needs in our church and community that they pray over through out the week. If you'd be interested in joining the group, or have a need you'd like us to join with you in prayer over, please message Chelsea Barker.

Are you facing a situation that you just don’t feel strong enough to handle? Hold on to this verse and the hope it gives. God’s strength is talked about over and over in the a Bible. He’s compared to a rock, mountain, fortress, and He cares about you! Turn to Him when you’re feeling weak and He can be your strength
God calls us to meditate (think about over and over) on His Word, the Bible. What have you been reading/studying lately?
