In a different world, this would have been festival weekend. There would be friends and laughing and good food and sunshine. And art. So much incredible art. This pandemic might have taken our festival, but it cannot take our spirit. Keep painting. Keep working that clay. Keep wrapping that wire. Keep smiling. ... And we'll see you all in 2021, in our favourite little park by the water.

Very sorry to announce that we are cancelling The New Art Festival 2020. This was an incredibly difficult decision for us to make. But we did so with our community's best interest at heart. To our artists, thank you so much for everything you have given us already. We will communicate with all who applied within the coming days. Sit tight - we'll figure this out together. To our friends and fans. We are so sorry that we won't be seeing you this year. But you can still ...see us! Our artist community needs you now more than ever. We implore you, use some of this extra space to visit your favourite artists' websites, to place some orders, to purchase gift certificates. To help them in this time. To encourage them. To love them. And please believe that next year, when all this madness has left us, The New Art Festival will be back, in our favourite little park by the water.

As most of you know, the COVID-19 situation is very real, and is evolving daily. As such, the festival is in constant communication with the city, and with the Ottawa Event Central Team, to keep abreast of the situation. For the moment, things are moving ahead as planned. We realize how important TNAF is to our artists, their families, and their fans. We want to assure you that when/if the time comes to make any big decisions, we will do so with their, and the community's, best interest in mind. We will update everyone if there are any major changes. But until then, keep clean and craft on!

Thank you so much to each and every artist who applied for The New Art Festival 2020. Applications are now closed. As always, we are in total awe of the talent you have shared with us. Our inboxes and hearts are full.

Autumn may be in full swing, with winter quickly approaching, but we're already dreaming of summer. Mark your calendars! The New Art Festival 2020 will be happening on June 13th & 14th!
