How do you help our school and make your garden look amazing? Easy, you can now join our spring fundraiser! We will be selling a variety of plants, from flowers to strawberries on our team website: NewBrightonschool.growingsmilesfundraising.com We are hoping to raise $5,000 so feel free to share this fundraiser with your friends, family and coworkers but please don’t solicit door-to-door sales. Order by April 19,2021 and pick up on May 6, 2021 The funds we raise will allow our school additional resources for things like new electronics, virtual field trips or even Phys Ed equipment. Today is the last day of school! Thank you to our teachers, administrators, parents and most definitely students. In this unprecedented year we got through it by adapting so well! As the fundraising arm we also wanted to say thank you for your generosity! Because of you we were able to help our school keep up with the different needs this pandemic has brought.

Dear New Brighton School Families, The New Brighton Elementary Parent’s Association (NBEPA) is pleased to announce that the AGLC has awarded our association with December 2 and December 3, 2020 casino dates at the Deerfoot Inn Casino. This is an incredible opportunity for our association to secure funding for our school as needs arise. The funds raised from our casino event will provide New Brighton School with access to residencies, athletic equipment, library supplies, c...lassroom supplies, technology like iPads and laptops and the potential to subsidize field trips. Casino events require 30 shifts to be filled. Each shift can raise up to $1,600 for our school. No knowledge of gambling is needed, and training is provided at the casino event. All family and friends over 18 years of age are eligible to volunteer. Volunteers can work more than one shift but cannot change position. Please note that we cannot host this event if we do not have volunteers for each shift. If we do not have enough volunteers, we must forfeit the event. Hello New Brighton. We are so happy that so many kids have started to use the new playground at New Brighton school. Can we please remember to be clean neighboursand take our garbage with us when we leave. There is a garbage can by the baseball field.... Thank you for picking up for us today!

Hello New Brighton, Well with every big construction job there are hiccups and here is our new one The blue wave piece is closed for now. The end support has moved too far and it isn’t moving with a smooth wiggle like it should. It’s moving with a jarring drop and one end is bending too far.... We have already called our construction company and they will be fixing us up ASAP. Enjoy the rest of the playground!

Hello everyone, we have received numerous messages about the blue wave at the new playground. It is connected to the ground with three metal pipes and the 2 outside pieces move on purpose! the movement there is what allows the structure to wiggle. There is a little cracking in the rubber and we will watch the see if it needs a patch but rest assured it is moving as it’s designed to. Thank you for taking care and contacting us when you see something at the playground!

It’s Finally official: WE ARE OPEN The CBE is installing snow fencing right now to protect the sod. Please use the 2 openings only to access the playground so the grass has a chance to grow in . NO Bikes, NO strollers, No scooters on the grass for now please! ... Basically treat it gently There are volunteers watering twice a day to give the grass the best chance to grow in and now New Brighton can play on the structure. Thank you all for your support over the last 7 years of fundraising and we look forward to our next project to continue our mission of supporting New Brighton School and this community!
