The Newcastle Lions Club is getting a lot of garbage(non-metal) in our Scrap Metal Bin at the Rona store. We are think of removing the bin until late Summer to help cool this problem off and until the DRP can help us identify these culprits. Whats your opinion?

Annual Wild Goose Chase event on Wednesday. 27 Lions and guests carpooled over to Bowmanville and toured the old Boys Training School site for a tour. We split up into 3 groups and walked over to the site via the dam and then heard about the history of the six remaining buildings that are now boarded up but in fair condition. Lots of plans for the future so maybe we can revisit in 5 yrs or so. We all went to the A-1 Delights restaurant for dinner afterwards for Chinese food. Good food selection for all. Thanks to Lion Heather for another great night with LIons and their wives and friends.
