Let’s change our perspective. I know I’ve been guilty of wishing 2020 would be over because it seems like a waste of a year but this definitely made me rethink that mindset.

Keep in mind I will be prioritizing patients. We are still in a pandemic and I want to help the patients who need it most at this time. If you have any questions feel free to email, message me on Facebook or Instagram.

March 17th the province called a state of emergency and RMTs were told to stop all non essential treatments. June 1st the province has began to remove some restrictions and RMTs are allowed to practice!!! (Of course with many restrictions still) ... Although it has been nice to wind down and finish projects around the house I am so excited to be heading back. I have missed all of patients so much! My hours will be altered during this time and the team at the NHWC is taking every possible measure to keep employees and patients safe. In my next post there will be a list of safety measures my clinic is implementing to keep everyone safe. If you would like to book an appointment with me please call the clinic at 519-662-4441. I look forward to seeing all of you soon!

As all of you may notice from the date of my last post I'm not great at updating my work page/ instagram but this is definitely important to me. Myself and thousands of chiropractors, osteopaths, RMTs, physiotherapists, ect. have decided to close our clinics at this time in hopes of flattening the curve. We will be waiting for updates from the government and our governing bodies for how to proceed. If any patients need advice on home care I will do my best to provide you with that. I hope to see all of you soon but lets all continue to do our part to try and decrease the spread of this thing. Stay safe and healthy.

Today I am grateful that I am able to continue my learning. I am grateful that our health care system allows patients to seek treatment outside of medications and surgeries. I am grateful that I have a career where I get to help people every day. ... I feel very humbled after my first weekend of schooling in osteopathy because in my profession there is ALWAYS more to learn. I know I will never have every answer for my patients but I will use the tools I have and do my best. With these next steps in my profession I believe I’ll be able to help patients who have always received that ‘bandaid fix’ and hopefully provide them with a more permanent solution. Needless to say I’m excited for these next ... years (we don’t need to put a number to how long it will take me to finish). On days of struggle, when school gets tough, and life gets crazy, I hope I’ll look back at this post and feel all the feels. That’s all for today- thanks for listening to me rant See more

It’s happening!!! I am thrilled to announce that I will be attending the Canadian College of Osteopathy this fall. I’m excited for this next step in my career. I guess it is true- the learning never stops.

I’ve lived with chronic low back pain for the last 10 years, after 3 sessions of FST it’s completely gone. -patient testimonial What is fascia? A network of connective tissue throughout your body that surrounds your muscles, bones, organs, etc. ... What is Fascial Stretch Therapy? A pain free assisted stretching therapy that helps to relax your nervous system, while achieving ROM and stretching your neuromyofascial system AND muscles. This treatment can help to restore your functional mobility, improve posture and increase performance. Do you sit all day at work? Do you have low back pain from tight hip flexors or glutes? Do you lack flexibility? Do you suffer from headaches? Do you just want to feel relaxed and restored? If you answered yes to any of these questions book a Fascial Stretch Session with me! Thanks to my buddy for letting me interrupt our stretching session with a little photo shoot. P.S. don’t be alarmed by my cupping marks.

Some basic pelvic health that sooo many women don’t know about. The number of women that come to me and tell me ‘I pee a little every time I laugh or cough.’ or ‘I have to pee every hour.’ or ‘Ever since I had kids I can’t seem to control anything anymore.’ Do not let anyone tell you that this is normal!! Seek out a pelvic floor physiotherapist in your area because they can help.

Although this has been a trip of a lifetime, I am excited to be back in the clinic Thursday night doing what I love. Thank you to all my patients who have waited patiently for an appointment until I’m home. I know December is ‘use up your benefits’ month but you have all been amazing! Book in before December is completely full.

And we’re off! I will be out of the clinics from December 5-19th. Although I’m on vacation mode the self care never stops, even at the airport. There are so many benefits to stretching on a daily basis. Here are just a few things that you can gain from stretching: increase your flexibility ... increase your range of motion increase blood flow improve performance improve posture healing and helping to improve back pain If I can find somewhere in an airport you have no excuse! So whether you’re going on vacation, you’re stuck in an office chair all day or you just need to add some mobility to your life- try both of these stretches out. If you would like to see more message me and I’ll send you in the right direction. @ Toronto Pearson International Airport See more
