Beautiful sunset to end a great ride! #snowmobileNL
Today (Wednesday, January 15) the ice was checked in a couple of places in Northwest Pond (Bloomfield). Here are the results... 4 of snow on top of 1-2 of ice on top of 6-7 of water/slush on top of... 2-3 of ice The ice is NOT safe to be on!! Yet there are lots of snowmobile tracks there. Be safe! Be smart! STAY OFF THE ICE!!

One very happy fishergal proudly showing off her catch! Fresh from the ocean and feisty! What a fight it gave Janine - it took her into the backing, jumped 1/2 a dozen times, done 2 tail walks across the pool and wrapped itself around a bunch of weeds in the pool - but she prevailed and landed her catch (who says barbless hooks are useless!!). The smile, her trembling hands and knocking knees was priceless!! Thats what its all about!! Awesome job Janine!!
