New Heights Autism Support Society 29.10.2020

As the world continues to adjust to living within the COVID-19 pandemic, New Heights Autism Support Society has worked diligently to maintain our Mission Statement of service for all our families, children and youth that we support. We have been able to do this by utilizing the various Government COVID subsidy programs that have been put into place. One such program was the rent subsidy program. Unfortunately, this program has ended and although a new rent subsidy program ...was approved by Parliament on November 6th, it will not be in place and available for application until the beginning of December. At this time the property owner of our agency office, has chosen to exercise his right to provided us with a notice to discontinue our lease and therefore, we are required to vacate the premises by Friday, November 20th of this week. The Board of Directors and myself have discussed a temporary plan for moving forward, that will allow us time to secure a new office location in the new year. Our office telephone line will remain (250) 376-0375, however for the next week and a half, while the move is taking place, and re-establishment of our systems at the temporary location will be happening, communication would be best completed via email. Please email me directly at [email protected] with any questions, etc. during this time. Services during this temporary re-location will not be diminished, nor will it be affected. Behaviour Interventionists will remain working with our children and youth within their homes as they do now, and our Alternate Education Program will continue at our temporary location. I want to assure all parents, supports and community members that our agency is strong in spirit, and our commitment to our families is unwavering. We thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this time of transition and look forward to continuing our journey with you and your precious children through this new adventure. In Service, Candace Morrison Executive Director New Heights Autism Support Society
