We’ve made a bit of an upgrade to our packaging lately! Being a sustainable fashion business, we want to try our best to showcase that in all aspects of our business as well as promote a more environmentally friendly lifestyle. That is why we made the decision to switch up how we do things and reduce the amount of plastic we use for organizing clothes and sending them to you! If you haven’t ordered from us (yet ), our mailers are all compostable or ...biodegradable! Make sure to remove the shipping label for recycling before discarding the mailers For transparency, we also have larger returnable poly-mailers in use until we find a suitable replacement (please reuse them ). Our tags are 100% recycled material with hemp string. If you didn’t know, hemp is pretty amazing. It requires little water and land to cultivate, and no pesticides are usually needed. To be completely honest, these decisions can be tough since the sustainable option is definitely not the economically friendly one. These tags are stamped, hand strung and then individually pinned to each item which can be very labour intensive compared to other standard methods. Mailers like these can also be 6x more expensive than regular ones, depending on which ones you’re looking at. We think that as a small business, little changes like these can make a big difference and you, our supporters, appreciate the investment!
