We have lost an icon. Almost every night for more than three decades, Alex Trebek entertained and educated millions with his quick wit, wry jokes, and his seemi...ngly endless knowledge. He was a part of memorable moments both on Jeopardy! and in living rooms around the world, as friends and families huddled to watch the latest episode. My thoughts are with all his fans, as well as his own family and friends, as they mourn this tremendous loss. Please read my full statement on the passing of Alex Trebek: https://bit.ly/3laVg9j
Every Canadian deserves a safe and affordable place to call home. The $1 billion Rapid Housing Initiative will: quickly create new modular multi-unit rentals convert non-residential buildings into affordable multi-residential units, rehabilitate buildings, and more!
Last week, I celebrated World Teachers’ Day by logging on for a virtual town hall with CTF - FCE. As a former teacher, I was excited to hear from them - and I got to thank them for everything they’re doing during these tough times. Take a look:
On this day in 1929, the legal definition of a person was amended to include women - paving the way for greater women participation in public and political life.... On #PersonsDay, let’s recognize women trailblazers in Canadian history and the work ahead to make equality for all a reality. In October we celebrate Womens History Month and the outstanding achievements of women and girls throughout Canada's history. This years theme, #BecauseOfYou, c...elebrates women and girls who have made, and continue to make, a lasting impact in our country's politics, arts and sciences, and countless other fields. This month, I encourage you to visit the virtual Women of Impact in Canada gallery to learn about the contributions and achievements of 100 exceptional Canadian women and girls. And also the Women in Canadian History: A Timeline, to learn more about notable events in Canadian women’s history. Dropped by #MRWardrobe to update my tired wardrobe. Good to see community supporters like Mike Rathke still working hard for their clients during these difficult times. #SupportLocalBusinesses.
