Show some heart along the Cariboo Waggon Road! Richard Wright and Amy Newman continued their quest to nail down and document features of the Cariboo Waggon Road earlier this fall. September found them on a beautiful stretch by 70 Mile House. Richard reports: Just north of 70 Mile House on the original Cariboo Waggon Road is a great lunch stop or camp site. We called it Heart Rock Campsite. One day it may become an interpreted stop on the new CWR Route. Unfortunately, as is n...ow common, some folks can pack it in but refuse to pack it out. And of course, Amy takes notes of what they’ve seen. Coming to a field guide soon! Photos by Richard Wright.

https://vimeo.com/463253258 You must watch this video of Richard and Amy's trip from Chasm to 70 Mile. How often do you get to listen to Verdi while watching some of BC's most scenic landscapes along the CWR?

A great night in Ashcroft as we celebrated Lily Chow on her retirement as the NPTGS Multicultural director. Part of the festivities included awarding Lily the first-ever Lily Chow Cedar-Bamboo Heritage Award. This award comes with $1,000 in cash and had been supported by Mike McDonald, the Chinese Storytelling Centre and the NPTGS. Big shout out to Susanna Ng for taking pix and taking care of Lily!
