Our crafters have beem busy this season as well with mini trees & wreaths, pine cone angels, cinnamon ornaments, pine cone ornaments. and more! Here are just a few pictures of their amazing work.

Thank you to Northern Lights School for handmade cards for each Resident- they are being delivered this week! Thank you to Arbour Lake school for a slideshow of virtual Christmas greetings to be played for Residents on Monday! Thank you to a family member and her card club and community members who have donated so many amazing handmade cards. Residents will be both recieving and giving these cards. ... We at NHCC are feeling truly blessed!

All the staff have done an AMAZING job of decking our halls and we donned our holiday sweaters, toques and gloves for a little caroling!

Our Residents continue to be engaged with our Physio Team keeping up their physical well being. Number of Residents in the gym at one time are limited and the bikes are social distanced. There is always music playing and wonderful social interactions happening here and many Residents love to come down for their workouts!

Today some staff took to the snow to bring song, dance and snowballs to the windows of Residents on isolation. So much fun as many danced and sang along with us!

Newport Harbour Resident & Family Council/Social Foundation is fundraising with Purdys Chocolatier, just in time for Christmas! We would love to improve the lives of our Residents through adding a Tovertafel "Magic Table" and or some exciting Virtual Reality Equipment to provide opportunities to explore past and current interests and things that may be on their bucket list like take a walk in their home town, reminisce about the ocean and go snorkeling, drive a race car, be on the stationary bike in physio but be biking in the woods! We have shuffled through our in-house votes and our costume winners for Halloween 2020 are for Best Group: 1st FL Nursing Team Mummies and Best Individual went to Tyla for her Leprechaun. Congratulations!!!

A shout out to Rocky Roadz Ice Cream and Mini Donuts who came to our parking lot twice. Mini Donut & Apple Cider socials and many residents, staff and visitors ordered too! So yummy! Thank you for making our summer a little more delicious!

Another Oktoberfest well celebrated with (neer) beer, (ginger)Ale and pretzels and oompah music. Prost!

Such a wonderful time yesterday was had making No-bake individual Apple Pies . The memories that the smells brought up were a delight to hear and the whip cream was the icing on the pie!

This week our Petal Pushers gardening crew were yielding their fall harvest. They gave their garden beds much TLC and enjoyed the fruits of their labour. They also sold some produce to put towards seeds for next year!

Today we switched out our employee LOVE award pictures with pictures of how we have lived our values everyday during COVID. I used the book title Love in a time of Cholera for some inspiration. Enjoy our LOVE in a time of COVID-19 pictures.

We had a mini donut truck for residents and staff this week!! It was a big hit and a lot of fun!
