We are so excited to announce that May 25th we will be reopening. We are diligently working on our lists of cancelled clients and waiting list so please know we will be in touch soon. Covid-19 Policies for our clients * Please call and cancel your appointment if you have a fever of 38 degrees Celsius/100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher/cough/flu like symptoms, sore thro...at, runny nose or genuinely feel unwell or have a pending covid-19 test that you do not have the results from. * We ask that you show up on time for your appointment, not early or late. There will be chairs outside the salon, distanced apart if you have to wait. * If you can, we ask you leave all of your extra articles of clothing such as jackets, sweaters etc if at all possible in your car * Please come to your appointment alone. We have a capacity of 4 at this time which includes your stylist. * At this time we cannot take any Walk In’s so please call the salon for an appointment 250 423 8066 * Before entering the salon please proceed to the restroom to wash your hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds * There will be hand sanitizer throughout the salon so please use it as required * Masks will be required at all times during your appointment. We ask you to bring your own but if you do not have one we will supply you with one * At this time we will no longer be offering coffee and water, nor will there be magazines to read inside the salon * We please ask that you use Debit or Credit as the preferred method of payment * If you have travelled outside the country please follow the self isolation rules New Roots Hair Co. Cleaning and Sanitizing Policies * Please know at New Roots Hair Co. we take your safety and peace of mind very seriously. We have always had the cleaning and sanitizing of our shop at a very high priority. * We have been taking extra courses to brush up on our knowledge of the chemicals we are using in the salon * As always, Capes and towels will be washed after every use in hot water and detergent, as well as using disposable Sanek strips around your neck where the cape sits * We have changed things around a little in the salon as to keep social distancing much easier * Each station is cleaned and sanitized after every client, as well as other high touch areas * Product has been moved off the front shelf but please feel free to ask us for whatever you are in need of. We will sanitize and bag them for you. * You may notice a slight but fair increase in prices due the additional time and products necessary to reopen. Dear friends of New Roots, We are very excited to have some movement towards our reopening. Though details remain fairly vague, we are feeling hopeful to see all of you again soon. Currently we do not have a definite reopen date but are working diligently on making New Roots a safe and healthy environment. As soon as more details are announced we will be contacting clients whose appointments were cancelled over the last 5 weeks and working on our lists from there.
