CANCELLED. In alignment with the Government’s newest Covid measures - OUR COOKING SESSIONS will be cancelled until November 29th. Next cooking group November 15 at 6pm! We will be making Alfredo gnocchi (gnocchi will be store bought) and cherry bars. ... All ingredients will be provided. The What to bring list will be sent out for all registered participants. We ask each person who signs up to contribute $5 towards the cost of the ingredients. Please make arrangements to get this to me prior to class as we have had many sign up and then not show up or cancel at the last minute. This will be non-refundable if ingredients have been purchased. We will be practicing social distancing and masks are mandatory. Classes are free for Newton membership holders (please check the expiry date on your membership card). If you need a Newton membership please let me know as I will have a few on me. $25 for family membership $15 for individual. Please register in this thread as space is limited and include all persons attending as we have limited space in the kitchen. We have had some repeated no shows - this impacts our ability to make these classes sustainable. Please only sign up if you can guarantee attendance. Thanks! Odilia.

Good Afternoon, Compost S'cool is really excited to host a Jack-o-Lantern Smash event on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 1-4. Carving jack-o-lanterns and using them as decorations is a fun activity to do with family and friends for Halloween. But what can you do with the pumpkins after Halloween?... Good news! You can have some fun this year and learn how to compost your pumpkin. Edmontonians are invited to compost pumpkins in an exciting way at Compost ‘S cool at this event. There will be games, prizes, hot chocolate and home composting information. Carve out some time for a FREE, family-friendly smash and compost jack-o-lantern event! Just Released! Our kids tennis summer program schedule is now available! We've partnered with the Edmonton Junior Tennis Society to offer programming for youth ...aged 5 - 17 this summer at Highlands. Our first session begins mid-June and has classes suitable for both beginners or those a bit more advanced. Looking for a way to enjoy the North Saskatchewan River? In the month of July, the Edmonton Rowing Club will be running summer camps on the water of the North Saskatchewan River for teenagers aged 13 and above. Northlands Bee Club welcomes youth between the ages of 12 and 17 to learn about beekeeping! Bee Club meets weekly from May to November on Thursdays from 6-8pm at Northlands Park (7410 Borden Park Road). Members learn about bees in the classroom and then work with them directly! The City now has a draft Community and Recreation Facility Master Plan, model and implementation plan. These components will be key in guiding effective decision making for new and existing recreation facilities, such as community centres, indoor soccer pitches, ice arenas, seniors centres and aquatic centres, to name a few. The Master Plan and its pieces have been built on the invaluable input provided by more than 5,500 Edmontonians and 250 other stakeholder groups. This in...put has helped shape the City’s approach to recreation facilities in Edmonton for the next 20 years.
