To our valued customers, As you have heard, the Government of Ontario is allowing Opticals and Optometrists to begin seeing clients again. Safety for our clients and staff is our number one concern. To help limit the spread of Covid-19, we are following the guidelines provided by the Government of Ontario, and the Colleges of Optometry and Opticians.... Service in our store may look a little different with the added personal security measures, but we will continue to provide the best service in Durham Region. All customers wishing to enter the store will be screened prior to entering; you can also visit https://covid-19.ontario.ca/self-assessment to verify if you have any potential symptoms. If you are not feeling well or have any symptoms, please do not come to the store. For everyone's safety, our staff will be equipped with full protection. Also, all clients are asked to wear a mask while in our store. Please bring one with you. Upon entering the store please use the hand sanitizer provided immediately at the door, and again when leaving. Eye exams and contact lens fittings will continue to be by appointment only, spaced out so that we can provide thorough cleaning between customers. Initially, it will also be advisable to have an appointment to shop for eyeglasses as any frames you try on will have to be fully disinfected before being displayed again. We also ask that you come alone to your appointments, other than a parent with a minor, or where an adult needs assistance. If you have a driver, kindly ask them to wait in the car while you are being seen. We ask that you please use the washroom at home prior to your visit to us. This will help to minimize the potential spread of Covid-19. Anyone without an appointment will have to wait outside in line for service. Lines will be outside the door for social distancing as we have to limit the number of people inside the store. We appreciate your understanding of our new procedures and thank you for your continuing support of a local family business. Be healthy and stay safe. The Oshawa Golf and Curling Club Ladies Committee visited Simcoe Hall Settlement House to present a cheque from their annual fundraiser.
