Training ADD is problem that has more and more relevant because of social media. Before people would stay on the exact same program for months and sometimes years (often this was way too long and their training suffered because of it). Don’t get me wrong training should be fun, otherwise you would not do it. ... However, training should also produce results. You have to accept the fact that you aren’t going to put 100 lbs on your squat in the next training cycle or lose 30 lbs and keep it off with a detox tea. I spent years of my life chasing iron. Just like one of the all time greats Babe Ruth I swung for the fences. I hit a lot of home runs...I also struck out a lot. When I was younger I was fixated with how much weight was on the barbell. Through the years of learning more and listening to better coaches and working with some of them, I’ve learned that it’s not always the weight on the bar. A lot of times it what you’re doing with that weight. Learn how to ...progress without adding more weight on the bar. Sets, reps, time under tension, less rest, etc. These are all indications of improvement. Not just the weight on the bar. If you learn these methods you will see a longer more lasting improvement on your results, with far less risk for injury. Hard work is still a cornerstone behaviour but also learning how to train smarter for the long haul. Tag your training partner. #getyourstrongon #simplenoteasy #buildingbetterhumans
