The first one is so that you understand what it is and how you can use it for your business, and the other reason is so that you understand some metrics related to it that you should be focusing on. - Pay-Per-Click describes a model of online advertising that you only pay when someone clicks your ad! ...Very straightforward & simple, this can be very beneficial because it only costs you money when someone engages with your ad and goes to your site (or other destination). - Your Cost Per Click (CPC) is based on a number of factors including the quality of your ad, the relevancy to the person it's being shown to, and the quality of your website (among other things). - BUT the main metric you should be focusing on is your Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) because this is where you are actually gaining business.
