Nexus Health and Training 25.12.2020

A few years back, I was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder that had caused significant pain in my muscles and joints and had caused me to stop working out, and in fact, stop doing many things in life I had previously enjoyed. Then, 2 years ago, as I started to feel better, I tagged along with my sister to try out Nexus after she had been raving about how great it was. I’m sure glad I did! My biggest hurdle at the start was being confident enough to try out a new gym sp...ace with people I didn’t know. I quickly realized that the staff and other members were very friendly and welcoming, and I had nothing to worry about. I have enjoyed working out on my own as well as participating in some of the group fitness classes. During my time at Nexus, I have rebuilt my strength and mobility and have gained confidence to try new workouts. I’ve also noticed an improvement in my endurance in every day life too so I can enjoy things like hiking, going for a walk or even just a good old day of housework! I’m thrilled to be part of the Nexus family! In recent months I’ve also really appreciated the extra care and attention to keep the gym safe and its members healthy! Jenn Reid

I wanted to workout at Nexus because I wanted to start getting healthy, and working at a gym makes you want to do that. I have loved working here, it gives me workout ideas, and I have met lots of new people. Nexus is such a fun and outgoing gym, every corner you turn there is a smiling face! I joined Nexus because it is convenient for me based on my home/work location. I work 10hr days, am a volunteer firefighter and also run a side business; so convenience is key. I like the idea of going to a local gym, where I run into friends and family. Nexus is a very relaxed environment that has all of the space/equipment to meet my needs. I work at a desk, so my job isn't very physical. Going to the gym regularly helps me stay in good overall shape and be able to enjoy my hobbies without feeling sore the next day. Jeremy Ruppert

Our local food bank is in need this holiday season. Due to COVID-19 they are unable to accept food donations. That’s why here at Nexus we want to help support our community by helping to raise funds for those in need. This year we will be collecting cash donations at our prize table in club or you can e-transfer to [email protected] to help those in need this holiday season. Thank you from the Nexus Team
