Niagara Falls Mayor's Youth Advisory Committee 18.11.2020

Julia is an extremely active MYAC member and we are so proud of her work and congratulate her on this much deserved award. Posted @withregram @ymcaniagara The YMCA of Niagara is celebrating individuals in our community who have made significant contributions toward peace-building by awarding three Peace Medals this year. Congratulations to the 2020 Peace Medal recipients: ... Andrew Harwood (St. Catharines) My Linh (Julia) Do (Niagara Falls) and Audra Maloney (Fort Erie). The 2020 Peace Medal awards were given out earlier this week in individual ceremonies to ensure physical distancing protocols were followed. From November 14-21, during YMCA Peace Week, the YMCA of Niagara, together with YMCAs across Canada, are celebrating the presence of peace in our communities, and reflecting on the peace building work that happens all year both inside and outside the YMCA. WE stand with youth! The voices of young people matter and we call upon leaders to acknowledge, listen and act upon the hopes and concerns young leaders have for our future on United Nations Day. That's why we’re teaming up with @WeAreBridgingTheGap to celebrate the power of youth at #YOUNGA2020. We nominate @MayorJimDiodati @REACTNiagara @NiagaraPostSecondaryNetwork and @CityofNiagaraFallsCanada to stand with us. #nfmyac #youthleaders #standwithyouth
