Scientists from the University of Chester have allegedly claimed they have the key to abolishing plastic pollution. They state to have developed a way to create energy from un-recyclable plastics with no residue post-process, the same plastics that are posing tremendous threats to our waters. The process involves taking these plastics and cutting them into two-inch long strips before melting them in a 1,000C kiln. The gases produced are then converted into energy. Disclaimer: This is not a be-all-end-all invention. This only makes use of non-recyclable plastic, as well as is unclear of where these gases go afterwards. Many questions are unclear, but this is a tremendous step towards a clean future!

This study aspires to be the change.
