There's a few spots left for this fall in our new Herpetology Internship Program. Financial assistance through work/study is available if needed, including the potential to cover flight costs for one out of province applicant. Residential program in a quarantined setting to avoid Covid complications while still interacting with a large team. Practical aspects include husbandry, field work, and an independent project. Core instructional program includes Herp Biology, Herp Conservation, and Herp Husbandry. Elective choices include Public Education, Field Methods, Project Management, GIS, Data analyses, Social Media, Outdoor Skills. This very stupid idea has been killed twice by two different Ontario Governments CONE was on the citizen taskforce lead by MTO hired consultants to find the optimum route for thishigbway. We concluded there is no optimum route within the defined corridors. The government scraped it and told MTO to look at alternatives. An acceptable alternative would be to expand the railway by adding tracks. It would be cheaper more effective and more environmentally sound.
