Looking back at our last "Orientation to Ontario" workshop prior to COVID-19. While we cannot gather in the same way for the time being, we look forward to our next session starting on November 24th which will be a virtual and in-person hybrid format facilitated in the Arabic language. The "Friendly Knitting Circle" continues working, focusing on hats at the present time. We are exploring the possibility of sending hats to Nunavut, to a community in need.

The JSW/Skills Training Program at the Niagara Folk Arts Multicultural Centre is having an online INFORMATION SESSION on Friday, November 27 from 10am to 12pm regarding a Stantec Bursary. A generous donation from global community design and engineering specialists Stantec has enabled Niagara Workforce Planning Board- Immigrant Mentorship Program, to offer a special bursary to a member of Niagara’s newcomer community who has an interest and/or professional background in engine...ering and technology occupations. The purpose of the $1,000 bursary is to help the recipient to further their career opportunities here in Canada through education or re-certification. Effective today, Monday November 16, Niagara moves into the Orange-Restrict classification of the Ontario Government's COVID-19 Response Framework.
