The Niakwa Place School Parent Association back to school BBQ last night was a huge success. The biggest thanks goes to Mother Nature, who gave us a spectacularly warm and sunny evening. We saw crowds this year of about 180 people (or more), which was more than we have ever had out before. Reminder to all that the back to school BBQ is Thursday, 5:30-7:30. New food trucks, inflatable obstacle course, mini donuts, 50/50 raffle, crafts and activities. We are looking for parent volunteers to help supervise the inflatable activities and sell 50/50 tickets. This year's Parent Association Back-2-School BBQ will on Thursday September 19, 2019 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. NEW FORMAT We're trying something completely different this year: Food vendors have been booked to supply hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie dogs and smokies. We will also have mini-donuts made fresh on site. All food pricing has been arranged so that we receive a special discount over their regular menu prices.
