I have many work happy places. Tackling a jumbled and overcrowded digital filing system. Digging into an online research project. Organizing a spreadsheet, or a calendar, or an event. This little graphic is the result of one such happy place - my creative space. It's a personal project, for a big upcoming year, but I thought I'd share it, well, just because it makes me happy!

Remember those "personality tests" we used to take, in the glossy magazines? We knew how to answer to get the result we wanted. Well, I just took another one. What's a week without at least one epiphany? The highlight of my week was reconnecting with someone I’d worked with, for many years. We collaborated regularly on a print magazine. I wrote the copy and provided direction while he pulled all of it together. For me, the magazine was only one part of the large campaigns that I directed. For him, it was a stand-alone project. For both of us, it was a fruitful collaboration. Talking to John reminded me that, I don’t have to do ever...ything. One of my strengths is organization and co-ordination. I don’t have to be able to DO everything, all I really need to do is know how to get things done! It was a valuable reminder. Thank you, John Kilbank. If you feel like you SHOULD be doing everything but, also feel like you’re coming up short, relax. You don’t HAVE to do everything.
