Fly the Flag! My submission to the @petermckinnon #pmphotoassignments This weeks #red theme. Went for a hike yesterday purely to get this photo. My original concept was more like the second photo, but after editing both I just really liked how photo1 came out better. Had to keep the second photo in there just cause. It’s still pretty epic I think. After doing my own edits, I used a @thechrishau preset on both pics to finish them off, so thanks for that dude. Reading the news lately is like, this is fine. We’re fine. It’ll be fine. I planned this photo with the thought of that meme of the dog sitting at the table and everything is on fire. But trying to make it more...cool The fire and ice concept seemed pretty neat. This is one of those photos I put a LOT of effort and time into and never came to the It’s perfect! moment. I still really love the concept of it though. I’d love to try again, but that ice wall in the backgro...und was an absolute freak event that I have never seen happen before, and did not happen this year. This is legit right at the end of the street I live on and we had a lot of fun taking this photo. Good bunch of layers involved to get the lighting all perfect. We shoved flashlights and tubes behind the wall and then had about a dozen water bottles to put out the fire. Plus the heaps of snow lol.
