Yesterday we showered my best friend with love. You always show everyone so much love and kindness; I hope you felt how adored you are by all those lucky enough to really know that beautiful and genuine soul of yours. I can think back to us being 15 years old and sitting at a Moxies table after work. I asked Meliss what she wanted to do when she grew up. Her response was I just want to be a mom. I said no, silly I mean for work.. She then responded, I honestly have no clue. I just hope to be a mom. Nothing makes me happier then seeing you reach another life goal. I can’t wait to spoil this bundle of perfection and watch you enter motherhood. I love you to the moon Melissa Courtney

My heart is with all you 2020 brides and grooms as you work through and adjust your plans in the middle of all of this uncertainty. So many of you were so excited for the showering of love and everything this year was going to bring. Some of you even waited for 2020 because you specifically wanted to get married in the year two-thousand-and-twenty. By all means I agree, it has a nice ring to it. Even though this pandemic is causing weddings to be cancelled or postponed, remem...ber it certainly can’t cancel your love. Even though some say a wedding is just an event and it’s the marriage that truly counts, I say both count and you should do whatever feels right for you at this time. Having the opportunity to bring all your favourite people together to celebrate your love is a memory that will forever be near to your heart. If changing your plans and planning for a smaller elopement later this year seem like the best idea, let’s plan for that. As you face these difficult decisions know you are not alone. Let’s keep reminding each other this is all temporary. In the end, love still conquers all. See more

To all my upcoming brides and grooms, I’m thinking about you and sending you all virtual hugs. I know this all seems overwhelming amidst the uncertainty but please know we are in this together. Sharing a pretty picture I took in one of my favourite places in light of the heaviness happening around us. Instead of feeling helpless and overwhelmed today I went out and tried to be helpful. I went to four different box stores this morning to only find 6 packs of toilet paper. I delivered those cases to my family + friends that didn’t have enough to get through the week. I only kept one pack for us because all of this panic and stockpiling isn’t going to change this situation. Precautions and recognition like washing our hands and social distancing will. To ensure a already chaotic time doesn’t get out of control, let’s try to approach this pandemic with logic and empathy. Let’s consider those most at risk and do our part in getting our earth back to the one we all know, love and feel safe in. Everyone be safe and healthy.
