As we are in our final day of 2020, there is so much to be thankful for. It has been a tough year for so many, yet there’s a silver lining in everything. We started our little bike shop mainly out of necessity. Our oldest son was needing some work, & I had some time off to take. Being in the bike industry in the past for many years & also having some business knowledge we decided to run a repair shop out of our garage. Well it didn’t take long to find out that bikes were t...he hottest item this season & soon our part time shop was now full time (I am still working full time at my day job) this meant working in the shop until midnight most nights as to not keep customers waiting too long. This also gave me the ability to finally be able to contribute back to our community. We started a program that had people donate bikes to our shop, we would repair these bikes, sell them & donate 100% of the sales to @aspirereddeer I am very proud of how this has worked out & we were able to donate over $2200 to this great organization. We made new friends, rekindled some that I created in the 90’s during my initial bike shop days went on group rides, family rides, solo rides, who could ask for more. What does 2021 bring? It brings growth to our product lines, more services available & more chances for us to give back to our community. Without our customer base, we wouldn’t be here writing this. I wish all of you nothing but the best. Last minute XC ski wax for a customer. This is a great example of why ALL skis need to have a glide wax applied. I waxed these skis about a month ago & just did them again. I’ve always used the analogy that ski bases are like your skin. If you have dry looking bases they need to be serviced. The side by side pictures show a dry base vs a properly waxed & maintained base. Also you’ll see that these are a wax less ski. The term is very misleading as it only is referring to ...the kick zone under you bindings. The tip & tail of all skis need glide wax.
