Broccoli and other members of the cruciferous vegetable has an end component call sulforaphane (SF). Used in randomized trial, researchers found that doses of a broccoli sprout beverage helped to detoxify benzene, airborne pollution. Consuming a beverage derived from broccoli sprout containing 600 umol of Glucoraphanin and 40 umol of sulforaphane for 12 weeks. The researchers found a statistically significant increase in excretion of benzene and acrolein (61% and 23% respectively). One more study found that a 4 day challenge with broccoli sprout extract mitigated the response to diesel exhaust particles by reducing the total white blood cell counts. In conclusion these studies point to the potential benefit of including sulforaphane-rich foods in the diet to reduce toxic burden. thank you and to next Wednesday.

Cuciferous vegetables such as brocoli, cabbage and other members, contain molecules known as glucoraphanin. With the help of an enzyme find in the vegetable , that will become active during the process of chewing. While active, the enzyme liberate sulphoraphane as the end product. This sulphoraphane is a power house for our helath. It activates phase 2 of liver detoxification. I will continue next Wednesday with the different toxins that can be liberated. Lately it has been really windy out and we have plenty of trees up because they do benefit from a strong rooting system. The house that has a good strong foundation will do too and no one will notice it. With a weak foundation we will have some cracks and through those anything can happen, some humidity, some ants etc. What about your own foundation? A strong one, I mean a strong digestive system will allow different systems in your body to work in harmony. How do you feel about your digestion, your bowel movement?

Greetings, school will be starting soon. As parents we continue to experiment a lot of stress. What to do with the children and their schooling? depending on your situation you can have 3 choices or just one. No matter what, it is not easy. I am sure you decide in one of them. How are you going to support your choice? Is your child old enough to participate in the decision? Establish a routine in the home and make sure you take care of all the bucket in your life. Rela...xation is a really important one and you do need it . Take some long walk while parcticing some deep breathing at least 3 times a day. Have some walk with your child, one child at a time, and have some conversation to allow him or her to express his taught, joy, frustration and others. Welcome back! let's continue to learn about gluten. There are several reaction to gluten: ** **Allergic reaction to gluten **Sensitivity reaction to gluten **Autoimmune response to gluten... Most of the time we have multiple general symptoms. In a secundary gastrointestinal care 93% have (NCGS)Non-ciliac Gluten senssitivity and only 7% will have the autoimmune conditin what is Celiac Disease (CD). NCGS is a chronic functional Gastrointestinal disorder that will present: Inflammation, constipation and sometimes diarrhea, unclear undigestion, hypersensitivity, most of the time there will be no immediate symptoms. That is the reason we can go really long time with a gluten sensitivity without being consious of its damage . 20-30 years down the road, decades later, NCGS will trigger neuroinflammation, gut brain axis- dysfunction and vulnerability to dementia. Let's talk about wheat! Most people today can't tolerate wheat. Wheat is composed of four class proteins which together are known as "Gluten". Testing for Gluten shows 7 out of 10 people are sensitive to wheat. ... Eating gluten can lead to inflammatory issues within the gut and affect our digestive system. Consumption of gluten results in tears and inflammation, the intestine lining will deteriorate and will develop what we call intestinal permeability or Leaky Gut Syndrome. Unfortunately most people live without symptoms until one day they start sneaking up on you! Symptoms include: 1. Bloating 2. Pain 3. Gas 4. Diarrhea 5. Constipation 6. Refluxcause heartburngastroesophageal reflux (GERD) Less obvious symptoms: - Headaches - Brain ( the most common system affected by wheat sensitivity)lead to Behavioural change - Joint pain and inflammation - Twitching of the eyelid - Skin discoloration - Difficulty sleeping - Acne Wheat is a very complex and complicated organism, this is why the symptoms are not homogeneous or the same for all people.
