This proverb is found at the start of the book The One Thing written by Gary Keller & Jay Papasan. Interestingly, I found this book *before* I ever thought about becoming a real estate agent, and, before I ever knew who/what Keller Williams was. It is one of the most transformative business books I have ever read.... It is about the power of focus; and the power of focusing on ONE THING. The proverb above is the perfect one sentence summary of the book. (Luckily if you’re thick like me, the book provides all the supporting literature to help the concept sink in and be actionable, haha!) How many directions are you pulling yourself in right now? Do you truly have a one thing you’re solely focused on delivering excellence in? Or do you have 8 focus things that are causing you to have watered down results in all of them? Are you chasing two rabbits? If you’re looking for clarity and focus, I can attest that I’ve really focused on asking myself this over and over this year, and it is bringing immense clarity in my life and business right now. I happily recommend picking up that book (it’s not industry specific and it’s rated as one of the top business productivity books) to see where you need to spend all of your time, and let other stuff go.
