My husband and I have been fortunate enough to do a lot of travelling (pre-covid). Throughout those travels we collected many mementoes, and shells/stones were some of those! These shells came from Seychelles (Africa), The Whitsunday Islands (Australia), Maui (Hawaii), Bali + Gili-T Island (Indonesia), Nova Scotia (Canada), and Santorini (Greece). I’ve had them sitting in a box for years, and finally decided to do something with them! Painted a gradient, glued the shells, then poured @art_resin on them. Decking the halls! When we hang my Christmas gingerbread painting in the front hall of our house, it’s officially Christmas in here! I painted this oil painting in my first year of art school at @nscaduniversity and it will forever be one of my favourite memories. I actually baked and decorated the cookies first and painted this as a still life! #deckthehalls
