We live in a world that is so comfortable with tradition that we get lost in all of the fluff of planning a wedding. All the extra stuff you know? All the traditional choices and traditional ways. But theres something so authentic and beautiful when you step outside of the traditions and you start making choices based on YOU and not what the generations before and the generations before them did. I cant even really find the words to sum up yesterdays elopement in Tobermory. It was everything I dreamed up and more and my heart is seriously so full. Jaime + Jesse got hitched and it was everything perfect and more. ... We woke up to a radar that was showing a massive storm that was going to hit right after the ceremony so we had to make a slight change in their plans. + instead of hiking to an elopement spot for them to get married at we got these two love birds married on the dock at their Airbnb (to be safe so we werent 2 hours into a hike and then get hit with a storm) So they got married at the end of the dock and then just the three of us did the hike and you guys the rain held out. We didnt get hit with any rain. Side story; Jaime is super close with her brother and he wasnt able to make it (at least thats what Jaime thought) but Jesse surprised her and they worked it out for her Brother to be there. As Jaime walked out of the cottage to proceed to walk down the aisle alone her brother came out of nowhere and walked his sister down the aisle Also their dog Chloe was with them of the day and was a rockstar during the hike. This elopement was about Jaime + Jesse and it was everything a wedding should be. Ps. When we were doing the hike, Jaime mentioned how Jesse wasnt really a fan of photos until I photographed their engagement a few months ago and apparently I turned that around for him, and now he looks forward to them Did I say my heart is so full? cheers to a forever love you guys. #loveandwildhearts See more

I have an elopements tomorrow in the Bruce Peninsula To say I am excited is a total understatement. I literally cant wait to hike with my couple and find the perfect spot for them to become husband and wife! Its going to be epic in every single way. Im so ready for this adventurous weekend and cant even contain it!! #elopement

Not everyone is going to like your art. Its so FREEING when you understand that. You gotta STOP trying to make everyone happy and ask yourself if you are. When your passion is your career and you lose the happy it used to bring you, its probably because your trying so dang hard to please everyoneee. My business mentor + coach once said: If you own a restaurant not EVERYONE is going to like your food. ... Are you going to focus on the one who didnt like what you had or focus on the ones who did? You guysssss what you focus on you get more of! Its that freaking simple... so what are you focusing on??? We are all different theres no way in heck every single person is going to like what you offer, what you represent, or even who you are and thats more than okay! Thank goodness our creator designed us all to be so different. Could you imagine if we were all the exact same person, And he designed us with the ability to pull our big girl pants up and be mature and okay with the fact that theres gonna be haters, but theres also going to be the die hard supporters. So focus a bit more on the ones who do, and a little less on the haters. You do YOU. And if your happy at the end of the day than thats all that matters Last nights engagement lovin was perfect in every single way

Bring a champagne bottle to your session you wont regret it. - Tips on successful champagne poppin magic.... 1. Get super close and cozy with each other and DONT look at the camera during these photos 2. Once the bottle has popped stick your thumb over the opening and give it a few big shakes for an even more epic explosion ... 3. After the first 10 seconds of complete surprise; go in for a kiss or make out ;) 4. Today while I responded to emails and edited I cried a little because my not so little baby went to school for the first time ever. He has never done daycare or anything like that before so my mama heart was We are super excited for this year though and all of the changes. Ive always felt led to homeschool since the day Theo was born basically ahha, so we are going to be giving that a go starting tomorrow and then he is going to a school program called learn n play twic...e a week so we are super excited about the friendships he is going to make this year and the growth that is going to come for all of us! - Theos first day was a success, his favourite part was the potato heads he played with - What ever you have decided for your family In terms of school just know your not alone. Youuuuu guyyyssss!!! They eloped and they are HITCHED!! Sara and Cody had such a relaxed perfect day. I find when its small and intimate and by that I mean they had 5 people at their ceremony... it allows the couple to have a day thats truly ALL ABOUT THEM. Without a lot of the traditional fluff that fills up a wedding day. Sorry I dont want to offend anyone. But when its smaller its not about if everyone is going to arrive on time, or if theres enough seating or ...what side people sit on, or hoping that everyone else is happy and having a good time. J+ S brought a motorcycle , a box of hot pizza (that I accidentally stepped on ahah), champagne a white comforter for some photos, bathing suits , a dress from @daughtersofindie and their authentic love to an old abandoned lodge in Muskoka all the way from Elora where they met me in a field of overgrown beauty and the breathtaking Muksoka rocks and water. - Last night was perfect in every way. We laughed, we sweat our asses off and possibly got bit by a dozen mosquitos but it was hella worth it. - I love these two. What do you do when you have successfully gotten through family photos? Give the kids their candy and mom + dad deserve some sort of candy too . So why not crack open a couple of beers. It was so nice meeting this sweet fam jam the other night. They drove over an hour to a random field to have me take their photos and I feel so blessed. ...
