Over the next couple of days we will be receiving details on when and how we can reopen. Right now we know as much as you do and are waiting for our governing college (CMTO) to give us more detailed instruction on when and how. Once we have this information I will be posting another update. Please be patient as we get the information and prepare our clinic, ourselves and our families for reopening. Thank you for your support during these uncertain times. All social... distancing rules will remain as well as if you’ve been in contact with anyone who has been sick or tested positive for Covid-19, crossed any borders within 14 days, have a fever or live with anyone have symptoms will not be able to come in at this time. Thank you for understanding and keeping everyone safe. Currently, the online booking portal and the mind body app will remain closed until we have confirmation. I will be making initial appointments via email and once we get back into the groove with the new guidelines, everyone will be able to book online as you did before. #muchlove #wearamask #staytuned #cmto #wewillletyouknowwhenweknow

Is it the weekend, is it not the weekend, what day is it even? Besides staying at home what else can you feed your body to increase your immunity at this time? Vitamins and nutrients that aid your body in fighting off any sort of foreign invader and others that increase the strength of your immune system are imperative to incorporate into your lifestyle at this time. ... Just to name a few examples: - regular multivitamin (most people have bought some at one point and are sitting in the cupboard, just ensure you are checking the expiry date) - omega-3 fatty acids - vitamin D (due to coming out of the winter months, majority of Canadians are low in vitamin D this time of year) -Anthocyanins (blueberries, cranberries, grapes) - Probiotics - Echinacea - Vitamin A - Vitamin E PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR HOUSE TO PURCHASE THESE ITEMS. ORDER ONLINE. ASK A FRIEND, FAMILY MEMBER OR NEIGHBOUR TO DROP IT OFF AT THE FRONT DOOR. ASK ME OR ANY OTHER HEALTH PROFESSIONAL.

We need to go back to basics and focus on being happy, especially during such times of uncertainty in the world. Being proud of who you are as a person, how you treat others will greatly reflect on a positive self image, a positive self image has nothing to do with the number on the scale. We are bombarded each day with pictures, advertisements, emails, billboards of what diet, pill, waist trainer, protein shake or supplement, fad diet, workout regimens you "need" to lose w...eight or to be "healthy". Sustainable weight loss is about creating new, nourishing habits and integrating them into your lifestyle. The following is a repost from one of my favourites @carolinetusiuk she nailed it with this post and so I had to share her words of wisdom. Creating a happier, healthier you is all about: It's getting fresh air It's engaging in movement daily, movement you truly enjoy It's drinking enough water It's reducing stress It's getting enough quality sleep It's nourishing your body with vitamins and minerals it needs to thrive It's thoroughly enjoying what you are eating It's creating a self-care routine It's giving yourself time to relax and unwind It's self-reflection It's decluttering your life It's trying new things and getting out of your comfort zone It's making meaningful connections with loved ones It's experiencing pleasure daily It's finding out what works best for you as an individual It's about treating your body with respect It's about meeting your bodies needs and never feeling deprived It's been concious of your behaviours and to allow your body to let go and release As we walk along this journey, focus on creating new habits around nourishment instead of deprivation Live Your Life #wearehappyplace

This week @that_stretch_girl and I are headed out of the office to visit the dedicated crew of incredible individuals at the Oxford County Vet Clinic. CONGRATS to @shalfon on winning this at work experience. We are also bringing along with us a little something extra as a surprise for these folks By taking just 15 minutes out of your workday to get a massage, it can reduce stiff neck muscles and pain from back and shoulders, making you more efficient and allowing you to f...ocus on the task at hand and forget about the pain that has been plaguing you. Do your employees complain of sore/achy arms, neck, back or shoulders? Contact me today on how we can help!

Lorilie and I had the pleasure of volunteering at the walk for Alzheimer's, this past weekend. We have volunteered at many different events in the KW region, although this was our first time in the town we call home. The event was truly amazing to see all the participants who came out to raise funds, awareness and represent their loved ones. I'm so proud to be apart of the Oxford community, it's heartwarming all the stories that were told of people coming together for a great cause. Rebecca and her team have always been an active part of the community, always giving back, lending a helping hand, I'm truly blessed to have joined this dedicated team!

These months of less light and warmth leave many of us feeling lethargic, yet studies show that regular massages improve mood and reset circadian rhythms, leading to better sleep and more energy. Massage helps increase your brain level of serotonin, and decrease cortisol and anxiety causing hormones. A therapeutic massage can help to relax the entire neurological system, to help release any unwanted stress you maybe holding onto. In colder months our muscles are more prone to holding tension as we grimace the cold, a massage will help release those muscles, alleviating the aches and pains associated with tight muscles. A massage will boost immunity and by increasing the activity of white blood cell's that work to combat viruses. As well as the lymphocyte production, which play a large role in protecting our bodies against disease.

With a new year comes new resolutions, one at the top of most of our lists is the promise to better ourselves in someway. Whether that is to eat healthier, work out more often, start a new hobby, read a book. Most of us understand the importance bettering our brain and our bodies although we don't often consider the maintenance and care we may need to get us to our goals. Care for the vessel that carries us day in day out through everything we push it to do. Although we often focus on everything we have to accomplish and don't stop to slow down and relax; in order for your body to function optimally and achieve the level of health you desire. Take the time, book a massage, your body will thank you!
