It’s a busy week for parent reminders! Tuesday December 8th - Ricki’s pancake breakfast for all students (delivered to classrooms the morning of by staff) Thursday December 10 - filming for the virtual Christmas concert (good to know if your student wishes to dress up, no pressure if not!) ... Friday December 11th - CHRISTMAS sweater spirit day. (I personally almost forgot toque day last Friday and never heard the end of it lol) Friday December 11 - report cards posted on MyEdBC. It’s a good idea to ensure you’ve got the password correct before Friday!

We’ve gotten some insider information on the Christmas Concert. (spoiler alert - Admin is going to film it in hopes parents can see their kids preform - yay!) BUT - they need to be FOIPPA compliant. If you checked no on your media release at the beginning of the year, they can not film your student. ... Want to change your mind? Calling all Elves - Santa needs your help! (And please share!) Due to the School District’s health and safety guidelines Nicomekls annual Santa’s Workshop must be re-imagined for 2020. We have faith this event will resume in all its glory in the future, but let’s come together to make the best of things! Just wait until you hear about the tricks we have up our sleeve! The event itself may look different, but the spirit of giving will forever remain. ... We need your help turning the workshop into a holiday light tunnel. We are looking to borrow, or have the following items donated: * Christmas string lights Lighted Christmas décor Store bought Individual packs of hot chocolate Please email [email protected] by December 4th if you can help, or have any questions. Please share! We have received notice that household donations for our annual Santa’s Workshop have started to come in. While we sincerely appreciate your support, we regret to share that we will *NOT* be holding the traditional event. **Please do not drop your donations to the office. ** There are so many restrictions this year, we must do things differently for 2020. ... Now don’t let this news disappoint you! We will be reimagining this event and still need help - just in a different way. (More on this will come later). Things may be different, but we won’t let the kids miss out! Stay tuned for updates! Thank you for understanding, and for your continuous support.
