2020 - What a year! Here’s a look back into 2020 @ Nielsens Bicycles.

We’re lucky to have a location so close to home that attracts all types of winter activities! Thanks to the MORCA - Muskoka Off Road Cycling Association trail signage which helps all users navigate the trails so easily in all seasons.

We have been so appreciative of all of the #locallove this season. #DowntownBracebridge over the last week has been buzzing! Our local shops, makers and restaurants wouldn’t be where they are without each and every one of you supporting them. (Especially with another lockdown just around the corner.) We wish everyone the safest and coziest holiday season. We know it’s not what we’re used to, but we’re sure to find ways to make it memorable! ... We’ll see you in the New Year for scheduled service appointments. Bring on the snow.

The Kentfield - Along with a step-thru option, the @marinbikes #Kentfield was entirely revamped for 2021. Brand new colour ways, and upgrades throughout the bike. Announcement Below! Who else saw snow fly this morning? A big difference from yesterday’s temperatures! Hoping everyone managed to stay safe during yesterday’s storm that swept through Muskoka. A few important announcements to our loyal customers: ... 1 The shop will be closed October 30th-November 5th. @mattt.nielsen is headed in for a tonsillectomy and he needs a few days to recover. All service will be complete and ready for pickup prior to our closure. If you can’t make it in, we can arrange bike pickup/drop off at the shop during our closure. Need a part? Send us a DM or email and we’ll arrange curbside pickup during the closure week. 2 Winter Hours are effective as of November 1st! Thursday 11AM-7PM Friday 11AM-7PM Saturday 10AM-4PM Sunday to Wednesday - CLOSED Winter hours will be in effect until Spring 2021. With a few extra holiday shopping days added in December! As always, if there are any questions, please reach out! Bring on the snow.

Throwback to 2019’s #sundayfunday at Buckwallow Cycling Center which took place on Sunday October 20th 2019. We were cooking up some fun with a tonne of on and off bike games, trail wide scavenger hunt, mini bike races, bbq lunch, and an epic demo fleet from Pivot Cycles. Here’s to hoping we’ll be back hunting down rubber chickens in the trails in 2021!

Who’s been enjoying the local trail scene this fall?

This time last year we were gearing up for our first annual Sunday Funday at #BuckwallowCyclingCentre. Who remembers the scavenger hunt for rubber chickens!? We're sad to have to skip 2020, but we'll be back in 2021 with another sunshine filled #sundayfunday. Check out the post below with what we got up to in 2019.... Everyone’s favourite bike shop greeter! You’ll find this guy laying in the sunshine at the front of the store most days. Don’t be offended if he doesn’t get up to say hello, this old boy is allowed to snooze on the job.

Always hard to get used to the early evenings. Who remembers riding until 9PM? Seems like ancient history now. Heads up downtown today and tomorrow as there are lots of extra vehicles, and road closures in our area for the movie being filmed.
