Good Monday Morning! TODAY Niijkiwendidaa, Fleming College/ Fleming Indigenous Student Services, Peterborough Native Learning and Nogo Friendship Centre are gathering to support those who maybe interested in academic upgrading/college programs. Feel welcome to joins us. Information details below;
Aaniin Community! Due to COVID-19 we have to do things a little differently! But we are still pushing forward with the annual Dagwaagin Dabik Giizis but in a virtual form this year! Here at Niijkiwendidaa Our staff Mellissa and Samantha have partnered up with the other community partners involved to ensure that we can facilitate this celebration (it's just being done in a different way) ! Typically in the past the the event would be a one day in person event that would take... place but this year we have broken it up into four different virtual sessions! The first session of the series is : November 3rd 2020! Two guest speakers that will be joining us. Blu Is a 2 spirit elder and will be speaking to our two-spirit traditions and Wendell Froman will be sharing his teachings about feasting the spirit !
