Great article summing up how the housing markets have always mirrored social trends in Canada. Could the trend of moving outside of Toronto continue with people giving up their city-life? These last few months have motivated people to value the idea of a bigger property with outdoor space, at the cost of the convenience of being in the City. With working from home set to turn from trend to norm in the coming months (or years), people are asking more and more (no exaggerati...on) about internet speeds in low-key municipalities (can't be dropping out from those Zoom meetings!) rather than worrying about how much time the commute to the office would steal from their lives. It's definitely fascinating to not only watch, but be in the middle of such a significant shift in the way we all see the office-home balance.
