According to UN reports, approximately 7 million tonnes of tuna are harvested yearly. For this very reason, sustainable tuna plays a crucial role for the future in terms of food security, sustainable development, and financial opportunities. In this respect, we need to bring regulations into harvesting and stop illegal, unreported, and deteriorating tuna fishing. Another course of action can be decreasing the level of marine pollution by considerably reducing marine debris in order to prevent unnatural decrease of tuna.
