Nipawin and Area Early Years Family Resource Centre

We are doing a book drive on Monday, October 5 come by the centre dressed in your pj’s and pick up a free book! 5:00-7:00, ages 0-5 appropriate ages.

Who wants to come play? Monday Oct 5 at 10-12!! We have drop in play for families and children to come. All families are screened, all adults will be masked, if you or someone is ill please stay home. Message or comment below to reserve your spot! Appropriate for ages 0-5!

One in four women experience pregnant and infant loss, and not all women talk about this experience. Everyone is different in this grieving experience, it is not easy. Have you ever wanted to talk about it and didn’t know how? Would you like a safe group to be able to talk about your experience and learn about your grieving process? If so please feel free to let us know and we are willing to make this happen if there is interest. Hugs to you all who have experienced this. I personally know it is not easy.

Staff introductions- Lisa Vavra joined our team in March 2020 and has been behind the scenes ever since! Lisa is excited to get programs up and running for our families. Lisa moved to Nipawin 6.5 years ago with her family, she has been married for 13 years and has an 11 year old and an 8 year old, and their first baby Roxy is 13 years old! Lisa has been in the child care field for over 20 years and has had a lot of experience in early learning experiences. She has worked fro...m being daycare staff, to preschool teacher, EA at an elementary school, home daycare and most recently Director at Open Door Playcare. Lisa is very excited to see what opportunities can be brought into the Nipawin and area! Questions for Lisa- 1)What makes you excited for your position at the Nipawin and Area Family Resource Centre? I am excited to meet the needs of all families in a different way than before. 2)What is your favourite food? Chicken-any kind 3) What is your favourite color? Blue 4) What do you like to do in your spare time? Fishing in the spring/summer, spending time with my kids, workout. Lisa is a great asset to the Centre and we are excited to see all the opportunities she will bring to the Centre.
