Looking to improve your ski technique or are you a beginner looking to start off on the right ski? Join our expert coaches for a lesson in either skate or classic! Nipika’s ski school is directed by Lyle, who previously coached Canada’s Olympic cross-country ski team. June is a CANSI level 3 instructor and NCCP level 3 coach with 45 years of cross-country ski teaching experience. Lessons are offered on a daily basis. Winter trails are just a day away! We are happy to announce Nipika’s trails officially open tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 12. They are in good early season condition with 35km currently groomed for classic and skate skiing. The fat bike trails are packed, too. The Day Lodge will be open for rentals, trail fees, and swag purchases. Please bring a mask to wear inside and follow posted signage. The Yearling Cabin is the oldest (dating back 100 years). However, the Rocky Mountain Cabin was the first Nipika build, with construction starting in 1996. We’ve had inquiries about ski conditions. The snow is very thin, so we’re anxiously waiting for more! The trails have been packed (not groomed) and are great for fat biking and hiking.

Let’s focus on the silver linings in 2020! Nipika’s closure allowed for many renovations. Group cancellations and change of services gave us more time for family. And we saw a lot more people getting outside and active, reconnecting with nature. Tell us something good about this year.

Socially distanced activities we’ve got them! With endless trails for cross-country skiing, fat biking, and snowshoeing you have room to roam at Nipika Mountain Resort. Purchase a Season Pass by calling the office at 250-342-6516. You can also e-transfer [email protected] or pay in person at the Day Lodge. Season passes are $75 per person or $200 per family.
