Normally we would celebrate our senior, graduating student-athletes at a home game and thank them for their time with the Nipissing Lakers. Unfortunately, we are unable to, but we still want to honour each of them and thank them for all they have done for Lakers Athletics and Nipissing University. Nipissing University Athletics is extremely pleased to announce that it is continuing its safe return to campus plan and entering stage 2 (of 3) as of September 28, 2020. As part of moving to Stage 2, the cardio and weight rooms, fitness studios, gymnasiums and reception area will be opened to use by appointment only. The change rooms, squash courts, common space and food service area will remained closed at this time. Ontario University Athletics (OUA), under the direction of its Board of Directors, announced today the cancellation of all OUA-sanctioned sport programming and championships up to March 31, 2021. As a result of this announcement, Nipissing UniversityOUA-sanctioned sport programming will also be cancelled up to March 31, 2021.
